How to backup a ROM for use on another phone?

I bricked my phone. I have access to another of the same phone and want to backup the rom so I can restore my device. How do I accomplish this?

You can, but it is risky. You'd need a Nandroid of the bricked phone, obviously made before it was bricked. An exact 2nd model of the phone that was bricked, rooted with the exact same custom recovery. Stick the Nandroid in the custom recovery's backup folder and restore. It is risky though, very risky because it is a different phone. It is possible you'll end up with two bricks, I wouldn't try it myself.
