How to backup app data?

Hi, I am going to flash CM 13 (Cyanogen mod version 13, which is android 6) on my moto G (XT1032) and I need to backup my notes app. I have a lot of stuff in it and its the only app I need to back up, is there a way for me to copy the data in it and then after flashing and installing the app, for me to put it back?

If you are rooted (I assume you are), you can use Titanium Backup to save any apps and user data you want to internal memory (or microSD card if you have one). After the flash, install Titanium Backup and restore the app & app data. The paid version is worth its weight in gold for batch backups and restores.
