Help How to block a particular web address in android device?

Hi,

Can anybody say, How to block a particular web address in an android device??
Also how to block that in my personal home internet modem??
Digisol??

My Device:
iBall Slide 3G 7803Q-900

I have tried Trend Micro antivirus, Host file editing(after rooting), Digisol Router settings etc.
But none of this is working properly.

UC mini is always giving access to the website.
But sometimes, Android's default browser is getting blocked while entering the website.

Please help me....

UC Browser Mini uses a remote proxy to compress and encrypt webpages, basically a VPN, and so it can tunnel through any local website blocks you might have setup with the device itself or the router. FYI Opera Mini does the same thing. You'd have to block the actual ports that it uses to communicate with its proxy server. Which ports in particular, I don't know.

Don't know anything about device you've got, never heard of it, Chinese? But some device's own stock browsers are configured to use a remote proxy to compress and encrypt webpages, and so trying to do any local censoring and blocking, like editing the hosts file, might not work. Again it's basically a VPN. This is usually done to try and save on wireless data use and costs, by using a remote proxy to compress webpages, before being sent to the browser on the device itself.

"Mini" versions of browsers that use compression proxies, can often be used to tunnel through WiFi website blocks and censoring you might find at libraries, schools, etc. In fact for a while could use Opera Mini to bypass the gvt. GFW internet censoring here in China, until Opera started using proxies in China.
