Help how to change android keyboard

Open settings>keyboards and languages
Enable your desired keyboard
Long press on a text input field and choose input method. And select your keyboard.
On the M835, Keyboards and Languages does not offer that option, it only shows the preferences for both Swype and the Android keyboard.
I haven't long-pressed a text-input field to see if it offers that option.
