Help how to change default messaging app without rooting

I want to change my default app to chomp
So that when i click messaging icon it launches
Chomp. I know i have to select use default app
When i send sms i have done that or
Is there any way to change the icon of
Chomp app look like default
I want to put it on home screen where default app is.
Hope you understand and solve this issue.

You can use Desktop Visualizer to change the icon and put it on the launcher dock.

You can also use a launcher like Nova, Go, etc and change the icon there.

Very simple and no extra apps needed. Simply drag the current messagin icon out of the dock and then put the Chomp icon in there.

That sounds interesting, I have never seen that app before. As its setting up widgets etc, would using an app like this drain more battery power or not?

Don't worry, nothing you can notice, to me it doesn't even affect battery performance.

But it creates icons from images
