Help How to change long-keypress after KK update?

Hello,

I am using the Verizon G2, and just did the 4.4.2 update (via OTA). I'm using the stock LG keyboard, which I like, but the long keypress (to get the alternate character, such as = or # or + or &) is very long. Is there a way to alter this hold time in milliseconds? I know this is a simple settings option in 3rd party keyboards, but I like the LG one, and would like to keep using it.
(I am rooted if that makes any difference) .

I don't think this is possible in the stock keyboard app, and I looked through the few Xposed modules I have that are G2 specific and found no way to do this... Not saying it's impossible, but I'm not finding an easy solution. Maybe give a few of those different keyboards a try.
