How to change ringtone's names?

Brand new owner of an HTC Evo 4G, my last phone was a Motorola V190 something, so it's been years since I had a new phone.

I downloaded some ringtones and they had their correct names attached to them, but today, they are now a series of numbers and letters than make no sense. Like rt4ce etc etc, blah blah blah

How can I go about changing the jibberish names of these ringtones into ones that make sense, and can I make a folder that holds these, so I can look up artists/genre. etc? Is there an app for this?

Thanks

You mean renaming the files? Just use a file browser like Astro, find the files, and rename them. Or connect your phone to your computer in Disk Drive mode and rename them in windows.

It sounds like you need to change the MP3 ID tags.

I suggest Audioshell. Look here for info on how to use it. There's a download link on this page as well.
