How to change widget icons?

Hi,

I just installed a great widget "Brightness widget" but I don't like the widget icons, it has 3 icons that change beneath a principal icon accordingly with the screen brightness, so there are 4 icons in total.

I found only a software with which you can change the application icon but not the widget icons.

I opened the apk file with winzip and browsed and I found the icons but if I replace them the apk won't install anymore on my phone.

Can someone give me any guidance if it is possible to change the widgets icons and how? I want to change only the widget apk installer if possible.
thanks:confused:

i tried a lot if not all brightness widgets.

this one is the only one that doesn't have a pop up menu and it has 3 customizable brightness presets.

so...is not that simple to change the icons in a widget? :(

I believe after you make changes to an apk file you need to sign it.

There are probably other apps, but I've used both:

Zipsigner

Signapktic - This one requires you to be rooted.

As a side note, Tasker can do what you are looking for as well.

Zipsigner did the trick easily, just 3 clicks. I only set the same icon for all presets and its working.

thank you very much
