Help how to check SD card for errors?

My music keeps skipping randomly, I don't think it is the player since this is happening on multiple apps.
What is the best way for me to verify my SD card is working as it should?

Well you can do a simple test, copy of your music file from the SD card to the internal memory and play it from there to see if the problem persists.

If you have a laptop or suitable desktop with card reader, and if you still have the adaptor that came with the card, you can run
Code:
chkdsk /f X:
the "X" representing the partition label designated to the sdcard. That's if you have Windows.
For Linux:
Code:
sudo fsck -a /dev/sdxx
the first "x" being the disk letter the second being the partition #.
IDK. @lvt 's method sounds a lot easier, but you did ask.

Today images that were working are now corrupt. Left side of photos are grey.
What should I look for when running chkdsk?

Nothing. Running check disk, you will just see a loading bar as the computer checks for errors. Then it will ask you if you want to fix the errors. It may delete some files associated with the errors.

Personally, I think you're card is about to bite the dust. Just backup everythinh you have on it.

Tried it on 2 different cards had to use command prompt as UI says card was locked (even though it isn't) both times it runs for 4 hours and times out.
