How to clean a plasma tv?

So we have our christmas tree next to our plasma tv. My son (2 years old) woke up one morning, climbed up on our entertainment center to pull a candy cane off of the tree, so I have little sticky hand prints all over the plasma screen.

Any tips on what to use/how to clean the screen?

I've looked all over online but there are a million different ways, I was just wondering if anyone had any methods they have tried and that have worked?
 
Get one of those microfiber cloth and wipe it clean. That works for me.

That's what I usually use,but he got sticky candy cane hand prints on it. I have to use some sort of solution.
 
They make a product that is safe for electronics i think its made by pledge or endust. I have used it on my PC and TV for sticky fingerprints ..it works
 
List of choices, from best (on top) to worst (at bottom):

  1. Check the owner's manual and do what it says.
  2. Use distilled water and a microfiber cloth to gently clean.
  3. Use clean water and a soft cloth to gently clean.
  4. Buy a product that's supposed to be safe for your TV.
  5. Use a Brillo pad and hydrochloric acid with a power grinder.

Seriously, everything in a candy cane should be water-soluble. Warm (not hot!) water should help make the sugar dissolve faster. If you've used water, patiently, and don't see any improvement after a reasonable period of time, my advice is to call the TV manufacturer's customer service line before you try anything else. If color from the candy cane is still visible, using another solvent might cause the color to set in the screen. There are all kinds of screen coatings that you might not notice; don't just assume that it's glass!
