Root How to clean up LG drivers, unable to use DP Tools

Hi,

I've got two LG Volts and having issues trying to get them recognized by the LG drivers properly. I've installed the latest LG USB drivers exe. Rebooted.

Windows recognizes them as LG Volt when I choose MTP option, so I can move files back and forth to the phone. But, I cannot get it to recognize it so that I can root with DP Tools. When I choose "charge only", Windows recognizes it as a Samsung Android Phone in device manager, and underneath it says "AndroidNet Sooner Single ADB Interface.

I'm assuming that my drivers are a mess on my PC (Win 7 64bit). Any ideas anyone ?

Wow, I can't believe no one answered you in this! So sorry!

You apparently have some Samsung drivers on your computer. Go through and uninstall ALL phone drivers and reboot your computer. Then download the current lg drivers from the stickied rooting thread, install and reboot again. Should be good to go.
