Hiya...
Weird situation I found...at least for me!
Have a few different phones here at the house. Coincidentally my HTC EVO and my wife's Samsung Epic 4G were experiencing "google apps/framework" force closes/quits while trying to sync our google calendars. I had this problem once before on my EVO many months (year or so?) ago and fixed it by clearing the "data" of the Gmail app in the Manage Applications menu.
When I navigate to the menu to Manage Applications and scroll to the gmail app on the Epic, however, I can stop the app from running but the "clear data" option is greyed out!! For some reason it never becomes an "active" option.
Does this option ever become available?? SHOULD this option be available?? Is this something that I can do because I have an HTC phone and the Samsung won't allow?? I don't think that I am able to clear the data because I am rooted as I am not using any special root-access app to manage my applications on my EVO....
THANKS!!
