Apparently when I setup my 3 gmail accounts on my Captivate...it decided it'd be a good idea to add EVERY email I've ever corresponded to. I went into my contacts and told the phone to only show Phone contacts. But when I got to send a MMS msg...it's still showing 10,000 emails. How do I make it where it will only show contacts that are just in my phone...ie what was imported from my old phone?

As you noticed, the setting to only "show" certain contacts in the Contacts app is independent of the internal search list it uses for other functions.
The solution is to organize your contacts such in Gmail so that only the ones you want to sync will sync. This is as simple as creating a new group in Gmail for your unwanted contacts, then organize them so all those 10,000 contacts are in that group and not in the "My Contacts" group. Only select those contacts for the "My Contacts" group that you wish to sync to your phone (contacts can be in more than one group).
After the next sync you should be good.

If you wanna del everything and start again do an app called delete contacts in the market I had a similar issue and resolved his then resynced and worked fine

Well, you have finer control than the entire account. You can set it to only sync calendar/books/contacts/gmail/pics/etc. But I don't think that's really the solution you want. The one I mentioned is simpler and the end-result better.

Thanks for the reply. Where is this setting to fine tune and only tell it to synch certain things? Actually...all I want coming to my phone is my email from gmail. I don't use the calendar, well I do use the google photos sometime.
