How to connect a PS3 controller that was connected to another PS3?

Hey everyone,
I have a question that I have been thinking about, but have been unable to solve. Say two PS3s are close to one another, with a controller attached to each. How would it be possible to take the controller from one PS3 and make it the second controller to the other PS3? Wouldn't it just reconnect to the PS3 it had been originally connected to? Thanks in advance fro your answers.

Plug in the USB charger cable to the PS3 then to the controller. Hit the PS button.

I had to do that today when I got a replacement controller.

If connecting as a secondary controller, press the PS button on the primary first. The second one will show up as controller #2.

The way i do it is to poke the pole in the back then plug it in and press PS button
