How to connect as read-only mass storage ?

Hi,

Among others I use my phone's storage similarly as a 'PC utilities' thumb drive, that means sometimes I attach it via USB to computers which are not quite reliable malware wise. Therefore it would be very useful, if somehow a write protection on the mass storage function could be set on the phone. Do you know about such a feature or perhaps an app that toggles this ?

I know that typically it will be very rare, like really really rare, that you will actually acquire some type of malware through connecting your phone to the computer via USB.

Otherwise I have never heard of an app that does this, sorry!

I've heard about some USB hub which has antivirus installed. So when you connect your device to a PC or tablet, all the data that you download are checked by this antivirus. Take a look here (hope it helps)
