Help how to connecting wifi with proxy setting?

i connect wifi access point at my office with proxy and port number setting to access internet,
i have set my galaxy mini with correct proxy and port number,
but still connect to the internet,

what's wrong?

Hi,
1) Is your device having IP from DHCP on network?
2) I hope you have correctly set the Access Point on your device. Is it showing constant wifi connection? or showing scanning and then nothing appears?

proxy: 172.2.0.40
port 8080
Authentication: ON
username: umt\091420057
pass: ********

please tell me how to configure these settings in my s5570.
I can find proxy and port settings. But how should i set authentications ,username & password.
