Help how to copy and paste?

I have a new Droid 2 Global and am trying to figure out how to do something that ought to be simple: copy a phone number or email address from Contacts and paste it into a text or email message.

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks.

Your question has been moved out of the Tips and Tricks area, where discovered tips are posted for Droid 2 users, to the Support area, where questions are asked. ;)

In the browser it can be different. You go to Menu>More>Select Text and highlight text.

The only copy and paste that works in the email app (not gmail) is phone numbers (when it recognizes them - not always) and email addresses.

I can't find a way to copy and select text. Press-and-hold doesn't do anything, and there are no "edit" or "more" menu options.

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks.

A feature in a forthcoming release?

Is there a developers forum for the Android OS where wh might post and vote on potential features?
