Help How to create group threads on One X

I was just wondering how to create group threads on the phone?

For instance I want to send a message to Matt and Mike, so I put them both in a text message I'm going to send out. Why when I get a response does it come back to in two separate messages?

Like this:

To: Matt and Mike

Hey guys, meet me at 10 at the bar

...instead of both their responses showing up in the message, I get one response from Matt back in his own text message box and one from mike

Mike: Okay

Matt: Okay

but, completely separate from the original text that I sent out.

To compare, I want it to be a group message like on the Iphone.

Is this possible? Or is there an app I can download to help me out with this?

On the iPhone, is it an actual SMS you're sending or is it using that iMessage thing? You could try an app like Handcent or GoSMS, they might offer what you're looking for?

It is an SMS, the Imessage has nothing to do with it, I just want to have a conversation with all parties responses in the same message instead of receiving different texts from everyone, and having them be separate.
 
The iPhone's group messaging uses MMS to keep threads together. I cannot say for sure but it looked to me like HTC had something in place to do something similar, however if the person responding to your text was not using group messaging or had it turned off you would get separate replies. It'd be best to test it with someone you know is using the right settings before trying a bunch of other clients.
 
I use Handcent, and it's been great for me. It does what you want it to do. You may have to download one or two of the groupsms plugins to increase the amount of texts you can send per hour.
