Help How to delete empty pages on Alcatel One Touch Pop C7?

Hi guys, I want to know how to delete those empty pages on my Alcatel One Touch Pop C7. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean. Ever since I bought it there were already 5 pages. I already emptied all pages of app shortcuts and widgets but the pages are still there. My home screen is set to the 2nd page and I can't even change which page I want to use. I have tried every method I know but they don't work. When I pinch or double tap the home screen, nothing happens. When I tap & hold, it only shows "Change wallpaper" option. When tap & hold the Home button, it opens Google Search. When I tap the Menu button, it only shows "Apps, Widgets & Settings". When I tap and hold the Menu button, it opens the Clear Recents option. It's getting freakishly annoying since I want to set my home screen to 1 page only and I want to do it without the use of 3rd party apps or launchers. Can someone please help me? Thank you.

Did you try tapping the Home button once? If you're already at the default home screen that usually brings up the "edit" option, where you can press-and-drag unwanted screens to the "delete" icon.
