How to delete missing app icons?

I recently migrated my apps from my S6 to my new S8. I believe I used the Samsung app to restore. Not all of the apps came over for some reason. I cleaned a lot of them up, but am left with 15 or so icons for apps that don't exist. I moved them all to one folder because when I hold the icon and look for uninstall, there is no option! They are grey/white android logo icons that have no name and do nothing. I've wiped the cache partition and they're still there. How do I get rid of them?

Can you long press on 1 at a time and select uninstall?
What launcher are you using?

My only options are to select, add, or move with long press. Using the stock launcher.

What's garbage in the upper left?can you drag them there

It's a folder I created just to drag them somewhere and get them out of the way.

Nova Launcher gives you an option to Remove or Uninstall when you tap and hold an app icon. Also has a Remove option for folders. Not sure if it will work in this case but worth a shot.
