Hi
Im new the forum and android tablets. I love the samsung galaxy 3 8.0, but can not delete the photos from the gallery camera uploads folder. The otger folders let me long touch and ticket and delete via the trash can in the top right hand corner. When I try the same with the photos when in camera uoload I can tick the photo box but there is no trash can, I can only move copies of the photos around.

Can anyone advice as to how to delete the photos.

Also I have 2 camera folders, a camera upload folder, download and a screenshot folder. Why are there so many and can they be merged.

Hope someone can help
Thanks

What camera are you using?

On my Nikon camera I have two folders in the Gallery, one has the photos I am viewing directly from the camera, the other has the photos I have imported from the camera to my Tab 3.

I can select and delete photos from the import folder, but cannot delete the photos on the camera using Gallery App.

Hello did you have any luck deleting your camera uploads? I have the exact same problem and it is driving me mad!!! why the hell isn't there a little bin or delete button?

Hello I still have the problem that I can not delete/bin any photo in this category of the gallery. I have the option for each of the other categories (camera, downloads & Screen shots). I can't see why photos go in to different categories and the only one I can't delete is the camera uploads.

Any help will be mych appreciated.

Well the only way I found to do it was to delete the accounts (dropbox, facebook etc) from the tab, as it seems to wipe the pics that are camera uploads as well. Apparently it is easy to reinstate them though I haven't tried this yet - but be careful about wiping photos you still want on your tab if you try it!

Do you have dropbox installed?

My explanation would be your device syncs with your online account pictures. Say the ones in Facebook, Dropbox, Google+ and other social sites which you might have uploaded photos into. If there's a setting on your sync not to sync the photos in your online accounts, then you can use that to turn off the camera uploads from showing up.

To turn off your Dropbox sync go here; http://www.twelveskip.com/tutorials...nd-disabling-camera-upload-feature-in-dropbox

Your Tablet is optimized to make simple for you to locate photos or file that you might need.
The screenshot folder stores screenshots taken by you, maybe if you want to share something displayed on your screen.
The Camera uploads folder syncs with your online accounts and stores the photos within your online accounts in your phone. Deleting these files from your folder makes no difference because these photos will still be available in your account, and therefore would show up immediately your phone connects to the internet.
The downloads folder stores any photos you might have downloaded from the internet.

All theses folders are related to different apps, to store files in only one folder, it would mean you have to manipulate the path of a photo from the different apps to your one customized folder....not sure how that is possible.

I hope this helps.
