Help How to delete swype predictive dictionary?

I have the Samsung Galaxy S3. By my own typos, Swype keeps suggesting incorrectly spelled words while typing. I found the user dictionary under settings, but the typo words are not in that list. How can I get rid of these nonsense words? Thank you.

Are you referring to the Samsung preinstalled swype or the original swype that you would have to have installed yourself?

If it's original swype, goto your home screen, from there;
Press options button (bottom left next to home button)
Press Settings
Scroll down to language & input
Tap the gear icon next to swype
Tap preferences
Scroll to bottom and you have "reset swype dictionary"

If samsung version;
As above but tap the gear icon next to "Samsung keyboard"
Then scroll to bottom and tap " reset settings" Or possibly more accurately;
In samsung keyboard settings;
Tap on predictive text (not the slider, to the left of)
Then scroll to bottom for "my word list" & "auto substitution list"

Hope this helps

Steps for editing "my words list"/ resetting predictive text Samsung Galaxy S3:

I have to agree with you 100% gmanzi. Samsung has made an excellent phone but their version of 'swype' was driving me crazy. (I also previously used the full Swype version on my Samsung Fascinate.) I went to nuance and got the new Swype Beta and it works beautifully with my Galaxy S III.

Suddenly it knows what I'm typing. :)

Do yourself a huge favor and get the original swype. It blows Samsung's version away.

What do you mean by original Swype? Is that an app? I looked in the app (play store on vzw) and found w options - touchpal keyboard; sms to swype.

Thx for ur input.

No such edit option, I have the S3 international version, not US. The device appears to have a swiftkey product installed, but the user manual says I have swype, so who is telling the truth here?
