Help How to determine Root/ROM version?

OrangeBic

How's it going. First off, I did a search and couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for. I bought a phone second hand, refurb'd it and am currently using it. I'm trying to find out what root/ROM versions I'm running.

When I boot the phone it goes to a screen that says "LIBERTY" so I'm assuming it's the Liberty ROM? Then it goes through another screen displaying "GummyJAR".

In my "About Phone" I'm showing:

Version - 2.2.1 (I'm going to re-root to Gingerbread ASAP)
Build Number - GummyJAR
MOD/ROM Version - Unknown

Any help would be appreciated.

As a side not, I'm having a problem with my volume constantly going down on it's own. It will get to the point where it just constantly vibrates until I put it to sleep because it's trying to be turned down. I just cleared my cache and as of 5 minutes it hasn't done this again. Hopefully that's my problem, if not, any other suggestions? The button is clear, I can physically feel the click if I push on it and there is wiggle room in the return.

Thanks!

Liberty and GummyJar were both created by the same developer. Liberty was available on both Froyo and GB. GummyJar was only available on Froyo.

That said, with your version being 2.2.1, I would safely assume you're on a Froyo version of GummyJar. Apparently, someone flashed Liberty (thus having the Liberty boot screen), then went back to GummyJar.
