How to disable camera auto shut down?

Hi everyone. Hi chief!

I use the camera now for neighborhood watch, and it is mounted on my window.

Problem. the stock camera app, automatically shuts down after two minutes or so. I want to keep it on and I want to control how long it stays on. I realize this may be a battery saving measure, but I don't need that.

any ideas?

Hi PM! You might think about using a different camera app. I use Pro Shot, although I've never tested the timeout feature. I'm really not sure if it eventually times out or not.

Not sure if this will help, but I just got an update for the Motorola camera that may fix your problem.
