Help how to DISABLE vibrate on startup/shutdown

I want to DISABLE vibrate on startup/shutdown, but cannot find any option on my Centura, and searches in this forum produced no results other than some commercial (from a member) saying its a good thing. As an engineer, I say its a waste of battery and its annoying as hell.

Anyone KNOW how to DISABLE this NUISANCE feature on a Centura?

Not to sound like a prick or anything, but isn't that pretty much a given with ANY cell phone you get when turning it on and off? Every cell I've had since 2005 onwards vibrated when you turned it on and off and I've never heard of being able to control it or not.
