Help How to disable welcome sound?

Hi all,
As the title says I need to find out how to disable the welcome sound/music that starts every time the phone re/starts for Samsung Gio.

Go in System/etc with Root Explorer and delete the "poweron.ogg" file

I tried removing poweron.ogg with Root Explorer but it is not possible, other options?

Have u mounted as R/W Root explorer before u tryied to remove the "poweron.ogg" file?

I have installed the Root Explorer .... not sure if it is mounted as R/W ... is there a way to check it?

In the upper right corner it's a tab called "Mount R/W" tap on it.

Thanks alot I found it and now deleted

One other thing can you tell me how to reduce the size in ROM, it is almost filled up and have only 20 Mb left. In total there is 180 Mb, I have uninstalled some apps but the size doesn't reduces.

U can try removing some system apps that u don't use like AllShare,Maps,ThinkOffice,etc(if you don't use them)with Titanium Backup.Your phone needs to be rooted for that

Perhaps look into flashing back to stock if you ever need to do that. Or custom ROMs.

Most of the action for those is over on XDA though.
