Root How To Downgrade 2.3.3

I have an HTC EVO 4G and i REALLY WANT TO ROOT...but as far as i know, there is no root method for 2.3.3 yet...so i would like to downgrade...if i just download this and run it, will it downgrade me back to 2.2??? The File that i am referring too is an RUU.exe file....will this work?

It is not possible to downgrade. You will have to wait for the exploit to be found. Keep checking back here. You will know when they find it.
