Help How to downgrade to froyo 2.2 from gingerbread 2.3.5

I just upgraded to the gingerbread 2.3.5 and well...it was pretty alright. until i realized i cant silence the camera for either the normal or the front faced one cuz its illegal to take pics silently in some states?? Anyway, so i want to downgrade back to froyo cuz ive kinda been liking it. How do i do it? I dont wanna root my phone or anything though..

You will need to root and install clockworkmod purple then you can odin the froyo after you flash the old modem. if i get a bit of time ill look up the step guide, beyond rooting you have no choice.

I'm actually pretty surprised that you're stock and want to go back to Froyo. Maybe you just had a better phone than I did. If you've run into any of my posts since I got my phone in Aug 2011 I've had nothing but nightmares and a very unstable working phone. Finally when GB came out it has fixed about 99% of the problems I've had and now I feel like I have a brand new stable phone that also boots up much faster, runs faster and is very stable. I can live with the camera sound but I couldn't live with all the things that was wrong with my phone before getting GB. Now I love my phone. The only thing I wish I had was more internal memory since apps are getting bigger. 512 just isn't enough now days, it should be at least 1mg of internal memory on phones now days.

The only way to downgrade on stock is with Odin. I would recommend that you root your phone and use one of the many silent stock camera .apks.
