How to download Google Play Store on ZTE Nubia Z9 Max

Hi there! I've just bought this ZTE Nubia Z9 Max from China.

I need help downloading Google Play Store - don't know how to go about it.

I don't know much about phones so please keep it simple.

This is how I did it with my Chinese devices. I must say it's "hit and miss" for sure as not all Chinese devices are the same, but it did work on several of mine or I wouldn't have posted it, lol!

I downloaded the google play store app but it does not open... just a brief white screen.

Did you download the zip file in the link and follow the whole procedure step by step? If so try the latest version of the Google Play apk and see if that helps.

You need a rooted phone to install as system app

Ahh so is it a flashable zip mate?

Gapps must be installed correctly as system, wherever that be via a custom recovery, etc. Unfortunately can't find any definitive information for this particular ZTE. It's only sold in China, and that's where it mostly stays probably. Just side-loading it as an APK, will not work.

You guys are all talking way over my head now, but I would like to just say for the record that I used it just as the link says, and before I found out that it's NOT supposed to work, lol, I've got it to work on two out of three Chinese tablets/phones.
