Help how to download torrents safe and secure on android phone?

Hi guys this is my first post. I wondered how exactly to download torrents on my galaxy nexus anonomysly safe and securely? Is there a way to use ssh tunnel or a proxy or whatever?

Assuming you're downloading files you have the right to download (a company that decides to release its freeware through torrents), there's nothing unsafe no matter how you're doing it. IF you're talking about stealing movies, or something of that nature, that doesn't get discussed on this forum.

I'm not talking about anything specific so don't assume I'm downloading illegal things because I'm not. I'm talking about anything in general. I download all my torrents on my computer using an ssh tunnel because I have the right to privacy with anything I download. All I want to know is how to download and torrent on an android phone privately. That's it

torrents are the most insecure method of downloading files. you basically are uploading while you are downloading or hosting the files. not sure how to keep them private when torrents are made to share
:/

Yeah I know that your basically uploading them once you download. But I usually keep them up for only a couple days and seed then take them down but regardless of this or not can I use a VPN or ssh when Downloading torrents via my android phone? I see a few apps that are for a VPN but what is my best option to make the torrents I'm downloading annonomys

You could use a VPN, as modern Android versions have support built-in. Depends on what protocol the VPN server uses though. My GNex supports PPTP, L2TP, and IPSec. Which ones you can use depends on what VPN service you have.

Oh really? Yeah I just looked on the app store and downloaded free VPN I think its called. Is that what you're talking about, just download something like that or what? And another thing too, with all these VPN apps it only works when I'm on WiFi? I want to be Able to use a VPN or ssh tunnel using verizons network because I have unlimited data and hate WiFi because its so slow compared to 4g. Any insight?

Assuming you're tunneling through a VPN located outside the US (otherwise the VPN's ISP is required by law to actively stop the VPN from receiving torrent packets). Which is why so many people have recently started complaining about not being able to download torrents - the ISPs (and a cellphone provider providing a gateway to the internet is an ISP) are required to prevent users from being able to download torrents.

Really? I never heard of this. That's crazy I can't believe ( well I can actually believe ) that they're doing that. What if I use a VPN based somewhere else in the us? Would that most likely work? I just like to keep what I use the internet for and whatever I download be kept private. I don't feel that the govt has the right to monitor my life and would like to be as private as possible with anything. I read somewhere that someone kept just switching their VPN proxy to a different one like every day so that it wouldn't get banned but I would rather not have to do this. So would using a USA based one be okay then?

Well, its not an app. Its built in to the OS itself, in your settings menu. Although, you can use VPN apps if you wish.

Provided your not doing anything illicit, using a US VPN should be fine. I have no idea if Verizon blocks VPNs, but I doubt that they do, since business users have a legitimate need for access business resources securely.

When I started to download the torrent without using any software on an android phone my internet identity was visible to hackers and other tracking agencies but when I share this problem with friends they recommend me to use Ivacy the Best VPN app android. Now I am downloading torrent on a regular basis with complete secure identity.

Yes you can easily download torrents on your Android device, but you need fastest VPN service which also allowed anonymous torrenting, for that reason you need follow there steps:
  1. Get fastest VPN service by testing the downloading speed, you can find out more in fastestvpn.net
  2. I would recommend ExpressVPN
  3. Install the App
  4. Start Download

Yes its perfectly safe as long as you use safe torrents
Download torrents from safe and major sites like

piratesbay
bittorrent..etc

Also its good to read the comments in a torrent before downloading the torrent file but it is also compulsory to use a best torrent vpn, don't do torrent without using vpn.

Download and upload torrent is not allowed in many countries. These days ISPs are watching more closely. Torrenting requires high encryption tunnel for secure downloading. It is necessary to use a VPN software which make your connection anonymous.

Download torrents or file sharing is not allowed, many hackers distribute files with virus on Peer-to-peer networks to hack the user computer and majority of users caught by ISP over torrenting. Encrypted VPN software hides the torrent traffic and enables the user to download torrent.

What are security experts trying to explain about hackers over torrenting?

Hackers are automatically seeding trackers with malware disguised as most popular downloads https://www.grahamcluley.com/2016/0...trackers-malware-disguised-popular-downloads/
