how to end a call on call waiting

I'm terrible at explaining so I'll just have to give an example. Say I'm on the phone with person A. While on the call I receive another call from person B. I switch calls. Person B tells me what they want and we are done, meanwhile person A is still on the other line. How can I hang up on person B without hanging up on person A.
 
I've never found a way to fix this since I've had android phones. You just have to hope b hangs up. Atleast thats what I've always had to do.

I think he means he wont be able to 3 way without hanging up on person B and since you cant really hang up all you can do is switch he wont be able to 3way because the phone already sees 3 people even though person B hanged up.
 
the open the dialer and press the call button (green button with phone on it)
ex. (im talkin to bob and called sam, then connected three way. Sam didnt answer and i dont leave voicemails so i open the dialer and press call buton. back to bob and i. 10secs later. i can mak another call)
