Help How to enter contact pic

I hope there are some here still with Dincs and not deserted!

When I put a picture in my contacts it shows up on another phone as a android icon. Anyone knows what causes this?

not sure what you mean? the picture you choose on your phone will not effect the picture shown on another phone, unless you link with your G+ profile and the other phone has you in their "circle"...

Ok, on my new phone I put my contacts in with contact photos and call a family member it just shows a green android little guy, not my pic on their phone.

so on YOUR phone, you only see the android character when making and receiving calls to/from contacts on the phone?....And the photos show up in the "people" app?
