how to erase deleted messages

I need to permanently erase text messages I have already deleted. Any information would be appreciated.

I am using the native messages app on my phone.

not sure what you are getting. if they are deleted, they are deleted. you can also factory reset the phone as well.

I know deleted texts can be recovered using 3rd party software. I want those erased, so yhey are not recoverable.
