How to extend ring duration?

Hi.

Galaxy Ace 2.

I have found that I am missing calls due to not being able to grab the phone fast enough before it goes to answerphone, I see on some Samsungs that the ring duration can be increased, is it possible on the Ace 2?

Regards
Alan.

Yes it possibly is. However it may also be possible to do this within the phone as I see on other Samsung forums like typing in ##66H2## or whatever.
I could phone Orange only to find they are 'having a very high call volume and it will ages for anyone to speak to me, in the mean time please choose from the following options. Press 1 for......' and so on until you lose the will to live!

If I could do it myself then that would be preferable.

As said I could ask them but thought that as this forum was read by users of the phone then perhaps this may be a more productive route.

Thanks for the reply and if its not possible I will have to contact Orange!!

Regards
Alan.

You can edit your ringtones using a freeware MP3 editor on your PC. Copy the ringtone from your phone to the PC then using the Editor copy the ringtone then paste it bak on the original file. Copy the ringtone back to your phone and that will double the length of the ringtone.

Thanks for the help, I have an MP3 ringtone that lasts nearly 60 seconds but only rings for 20 so that does not seem to work on my Ace 2.

I have tried the suggestion in the link which also shows as ring time 20 seconds. I have probably got some thing wrong as this did not work for me. I am not sure where the +1 came from as it is not shown on the screen after the call to *#61# only my voicemail number is shown but no +1 anywhere, I have entered the line **61*+1xxxyyyzzzz*11*30# with my 11 digit voicemail number in place of xxxyyyzzzz this brought up the screen that showed as most functions seem to be 'not forwarded' I tried a call to the mobile and it did go to voicemail after 20 seconds so that still works!
As I am in the U.K does the +1 apply or is that for USA use? I know the UK is +44.

Hope someone can shed light on the above as I do not want to disable the phone voicemail by accident :(

Regards
Alan.
