How to find a gps location of a cell phone with tasker

Do i have to have acess to the target phone
You do for any phone tracking tool, unless the service provider gives you access to their systems (which unless you are police or security services they won't). How could it work without something on the phone telling it to transmit its location and where to send the information?

Tasker sends the phone a message and turns on there gps
You still need something on the other phone to respond to the message (turn location on and report results back).

Theres a video on you tube that showes how to do it but i dont get itand cant get it right i guess

Well the Tasker macro is running on the target Sony phone, which does respond and returns its location to the iPhone. So you would definitely need access to the target device you want to track and locate, and install Tasker on it with the appropriate macro.

Of course. There's no other way it could work.
Considering the security implications … thankfully you get to control who tracks your device … even daughters. .
