How to find which apps are consuming data ?

[dhongdhong]

Is it possible to know which are the Apps consuming internet data ?

I'm on 3G having a limited data plan. I want to save data.

However , it seems some apps are running in the back ground and consuming data ...and making huge internet bill.

I want to restrict internet access to these apps. how ?

Also, is it possible to know which apps has consumed how much data ? This will be useful to restrict access to the high data consuming apps.

please tell me an workaround.

OS: Android 4 ICS

thanks

Have a look at 'My Data Manager', free in Play Store.

Not sure which phone you are using, but in many phones there is a data usage category to click on in your settings.

Im using this one. it lets you input your data info and it doesnt count wifi usage like some apps do.
