I have a Lava Iris 405 that runs of Android 4.1.2. My issue with the phone is that its battery stats are all messed up. It goes from 100 to 70 in 5 minutes similarly when I am charging the phone it goes from 70 to 100 in 5 minutes.
I have already taken the phone to service center. First they changed the battery and then flashed the rom again. The latter fixed the issue but only for some time. I read on interest to discharge the battery completely and then charge it to 100% while keeping the phone shut. It also fixed the issue but temporarily. I can not go around discharging the battery completely every week since it would kill it.
Is there any good fix of this issue? Should I consider installing custom rom? I have a rooted phone.
