And "yes" to my question of you are connected to the internet either via wifi or cell?

My last question has to do with the games' server itself, or in other words the developers computer and stuff where the info is stored...it may be down at the moment.

Have you downloaded this game via the PlayStore I assume?

Perhaps try to uninstall, then reinstall the game?

If it did not work in the first place, it may have been a corrupted download--unlikely, but possible I suppose

I would surmise you are outside of the United States yes?
Some countries, I believe one of which is China, cannot access the PlayStore without some magic sauce (vpn's etc)

Uptodown doesn't sound like an official distribution channel for this game, so it could be that pirated copies of Coin Master are locked out by their server.

Try installing it from Google Play instead.
