How to forward calendar events?

Not sure if this is a Jelly Bean issue or one specific to my phone (Galaxy S4).

I've got three email addresses set up on my phone. One gmail account, one google apps account and a yahoo account that I never really use. The gmail and google apps accounts are set up through the gmail app. The yahoo account is set up through the "email" app. My calendar is linked to my google apps account.

Here's the problem. I go into my calendar, into an event, and try to forward the event to someone. It tries to send it using my yahoo account. I remove my yahoo account from the email app and try again. The app says "No email account is set up. Configure it now?" Clicking yes takes me to a screen to set up corporate, yahoo, AOL, Windows Live, or Verizon email. And a line that says "For Gmail account, use Gmail app."

Any idea why it won't recognize the google apps account that the calendar is actually linked to?

Thx,

M

change the default email account in list of accounts.

business apps have a gmail app and regular gmail has an app. you can have two accounts in either

Not quite sure how to do that. The yahoo account isn't on my device anymore. Going into accounts only lists the various accounts I have (google, amazon, Dropbox, etc.). Nothing about a default email address.

BTW, when sharing, it lets me choose the gmail app and which gmail account. It only seems to be in the calendar app that I have this trouble.

The S Planner on the S4 is a Samsung made calendar, so naturally it will try to use the Samsung made Email app. Just configure your accounts in the Email app and it will do fine. I personally just stopped using the Gmail app and use the Samsung Email app. The unified inbox for 3 accounts (Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo!) is convenient.

I went to a website that had an email link and clicked it to set gmail as the default app for email. Still no change in actions for the calendar app.

Since I really only use my gmail accounts, the gmail app lets me see them all in one place. I'll check out the S mail app, but wonder if there's a way to not use a different mail app.

This was driving me CRAZY! The Samsung Calendar kept using yahoo, which actually would not forward the notices for some reason, they sat in the Outbox.

It was bothering me to use the Gmail App anyway, but when I went in to add Gmail to the e-mail on the phone I saw the "Use App for Gmail" and assumed I couldn't do it another way.

I registered just to give you this thanks!
