How to get a HTC Flashlight apk ?

I have a HTC One Google edition phone.

I have google it and find the flashlight.apk for the HTC One. But it does not seem to work. The light would not come on.

Does anyone know of a working flashlight for the HTC One? I prefer the original HTC app if possible.

The problem will be that the HTC app is written for the Sense framework, and my guess is that it's using some call that the GE ROM doesn't support. It's usual for HTC apps to only work with Sense ROMs.

I can recommend TeslaLED. Perhaps not as pretty as the HTC app, but a lot more options. I use it out of preference even though, since I am running a Sense ROM, I could use the HTC app.

I use Nexus Flashlight. I works for HTC One as well. I reason I like this one is it comes with widget and I can put in on the screen. It's like a switch to turn on/off from the screen without having to get in the app first before turn flight light on/off.

My favorite flashlight app used to be Tiny Flashlight + LED.

No I just have a shortcut using Power Toggles.

Yea, those are good enough.

But I just don't love the permissions of

Network communication: full network access, view network connections

Phone calls: read phone status and identity

for Tiny Flashlight.

The permissions for Power Toggles are understandable.

It doesn't request the phone calls permission, at least not on the version that I just installed. It just needs to prevent the phone from sleeping (more apps should request this permission). Network communication is likely due to advertisements (it's a free app). I haven't used it in awhile so I don't know if it has ads. I only installed it to verify permissions. Back when I did use it, I only used the 1x1 widget which was just a flashlight toggle. So, if there were ads within the app, I never saw them.
