How to get a little technical with android

[abhishes]

So I have been enjoying my HTC on for last one month.

Now I want to install some technical tools on my android to get a little geeky andrpid

What are the tools which I can put

My previous experience is that one should get a command shell app to learn about the OS commands.

Is a shell already there?

What other tools I can put?

A terminal emulator, I like better terminal emulator pro.
Busybox has the commands, there are no man pages, but I think there is a Unix command app in the play store if you need it.
