Root How to get back to ZV4

I went ahead and updated to zv5 in anticipation of Chevs new rom. I'd like to get back to zv4 since the only thing i can tell this update did was to break tethering capabilities. Can someone guide me to the safest way to do this? I found restore stock.zip in the ota thread but the next post mentioned about the time stamp and bootlooping etc. Is there a cwm flashable stock zv4 backup available?

The best way is using the LG Flash Tool and following the unbrick thread.

I'm running simplicity rom right now and I love it. Occasionally I need to tether so I may revert back using the unbrick method like you suggested. If I do and make a cwm backup of each rom, can I just cwm restore from one to the other without any problems?
