Apps How to get into the Market?

So what's the process for getting an app into Android Market? I can't seem to find anything concrete.

I'm guessing that since all the apps in there now appear to be free that the market isn't quite fully baked, but I can't even figure out how to get a free app listed. Or what the process is going to be like once people buying apps.

Or are all these existing apps just developer challenge winners? Hmm. Guess I should just sit tight. Or look into one of the competing stores.

Thanks, just saw that myself.

I wonder if people will actually use the other app stores (handmark, mobihand, etc) since Market won't be able to charge for apps until next year.

So nothing but lightweight apps for months. A very bad decision on their part.

Wake me up in December and I'll finish my apps...

Yes, it's an unfortunate decision but I would rather wait and see how the market handles it than go Mobi etc... as I really despise those sites.
