How to get real fast full internet connection tethering your G1.

Hello everyone,

I have the same problem as dj_balders.
I am located in the Netherlands and my G1 is running on the RC30 version. I tried to connect to my laptop running on Windows XP (SP 3 I think).

I double-even triple-checked all the things Roderigo mentioned, but no success. :-(

Is there anyone out there, that has a clue of what the problem is?

Additional information: The DDMS software is running perfectly and therefore it also displays all the debug information that it get from the phone, if connected. This also tells me, that a) the connection is working in general, b) the debug mode is reall set, and works as-well.

If no one has a hint, I was thinking of getting in touch with Graham, who programmed this software, and ask him to add some more debug code to get an idea of where the problem lies.

I couldn't get it to work. I added the localhost and 1080 into the proxifier and picked Socks5, but nothing has changed. I'm still getting the same slow connection I was getting before and it only works with Firefox.

I hope this works out. There have been some problems that I've gone through with having low-speed internet connections and I cannot let this further hamper my daily activities. Thus, I'm relying on this one to give the solution I need.
