Help How to get rid of contacts?

Veronykah

Newbie
I have 3 Gmail accounts, 2 personal and 1 for work. I mistakenly sync'd the work one to my phone and got ALL my boss's contacts. I want them gone, I deleted them from my actual work Gmail and they are still on my phone. I chose to sync only contacts from my personal gmail in the contacts app, which only displays those now but the DIALER still has ALL the contacts. I want them permanently gone from my phone, everywhere. How do I delete them?

Go to: Settings > Apps > All > Google Dialer > Clear cache > Clear data

That should do it, but of course you lose your call history.

I was very excited that this would solve my problem, went there cleared the cache and then also cleared data. Everything is STILL there when I go to the dialer. I found an app to clean the contacts out of the contacts app but I want them out of the dialer contacts. Ugh, don't get it.

I don't get it either. I've never tried it, but I thought for sure that would do the trick. Other than the nuclear option, I'm kinda stumped now...
