Root How to get rid of custom ROM?

I'm seriously frustrated.

I've been trying to get 2.3.3 on my Nexus One, but I never can because this custom ROM i currently have installed is blocking everything.
I even did a full wipe with ROM Manager but nothing gave.

Please tell me how to get rid of this evil ROM so I can use my phone normally and update!

Thanks!

Reload your factory nandroid backup. Or go to one of the many forums, I am sure someone has the .zip you can download and flash.

Hopefully you created a nandroid backup BEFORE you flashed the current rom you are on. You are supposed to, and its HIGHLY recommended in any how-to on flashing roms.

If you did, go into your recovery, and hit restore, then select that backup.

If you didnt backup, you need to flash a stock rom. Go to xda-developers, go to the nexus one forum, and search for it. After you flash this, you will need to unroot, as I'm sure you are aware, you CANNOT accept ota updates if you are rooted.

Or alternatively, search on xda for a stock rooted 2.3 rom and flash that. Then you wont need to unroot.

Yea I backed everything up, I'm safe on that side. I'll get the stock rom. Just to be clear though, what exactly is flashing? Does it just mean "install update from sd card" in the clockwork recovery manager?

sounds to me you are a little lost....and not really what you are doin..

so .. i am concerned that you might not have done the ...2.3.3 installation right...

Since your phone is rooted, you will not be able to get GB like one would OTA or manually flash the original OTA. What I suggest you can do to stay rooted and upgrade to the GB rom is by "flashing" this rom (below is the link to download the rom). This rom is basically GB with some slight mods (such as no Amazon mp3 app, added busybox, etc..). Now if you want to know how to flash this rom, you will have to do a bit more searching. Hint: search "how to flash a custom rom via recovery" or "flash via rom manager" if you have rom manager installed.
