How to get rid of LTE on my Nexus 4?

misterno1

A friend of mine, installed LTE in my Nexus 4, 2-3 years ago. But now either I want to sell the phone or give this phone to mom and before I do that I want to reset to original factory settings with no LTE anymore.
It was rebooting by itself anyway and she does not need LTE
How do I do that?

Hi @misterno1 and welcome to Android Forums!

Your best bet would be to flash a factory image. That will overwrite all the software (including the modified radio to enable LTE).

We've got a decent how-to here and you can download the images from here.

Let us know if you run into any issues or need additional guidance. :)

@codesplice is giving you the best answer, flash the factory image... the problem with just flashing the stock radio is we don't know how "stock" your phone is if you have the LTE radio, flashing a different radio could break things (potentially). Download the latest factory image and flash is your best bet.
