Help How to get S Health back?

Chazbald

Newbie
Samsung Apps gave an option to upgrade S Health. I clicked it and S Health App and Widget disappeared!!

Can't find S Health on Samsung app store or Play to reload.

How do I get S Health back??

Any ideas?

S-Health doesn't leave. It's a system app. Are you sure it's not in your App Drawer? You'll have to tap and hold your home screen to add the widget back.

Hi Darnell,
The icons are gone! Even a gap where they used to be. The widget is gone and the app icon is gone from my home screen.

When I tap & hold, S Health app & widget do not appear in the group of icons & widgets.

If I do a complete reset will I lose my contact db?

p.s. how do I do a full reset, just hold the on button for 30 secs?

Thanks,

When my S Health disappeared I found it in settings> more> applications> all stock apps that are disabled are in there. Just scroll down to it and enable . Hope that helps.

He's right - look in the Application Manager under Settings instead of the app drawer. The app is probably disabled and at the bottom of the list.

Thanks both.

But still not there. I went into Settings, More, Application Manager, All, and not there. S Note, and S Planner and S Planner Widget are there.

Also Sensor Services, which appeared to be running and com.sec.android.app.shealth and com.sec.android.service.health, both appeared to be running. But no S Health or it's widget.

It has really disappeared. Is my only option a full reset?
Thanks,

That is really weird. I would say boot into recovery and delete the cache to see if that helps. With the phone off, hold volume up+home+power. Once the phone lights up, you should see blue Recovery text in the corner. You can let go at that point. Once it boots, pay attention to the options. You'll have to press a button to continue, then see options for deleting the cache and factory reset. Just delete the CACHE then reboot. When you boot back up, it may say something like updating/upgrading android. Let it finish and then check your apps.

Wow, the blue recovery text is really small. I couldn't read it so selected the first option which appeared to be 'reboot'.

When the device restarted, Samsung App store gave the option of updating some apps, so I went to that and 'All' and it gave me the option to INSTALL S Health, so I did!!

It's back!! Thanks for the help.

Is it possible that as part of the update, the old version was removed, awaiting installation of a new version??

Thanks all.

I have a similar issue

I have the galaxy s5 active.

I loaded s health for the first time and was asked to update. I clicked yes. The app is no longer visible. Not in my active apps, not in my app manager and not in my storage
I go to the galaxy app store to re-download the app and the store tells me I have the app already installed.

I've cleared the cash on all galaxy and activity zone apps I could locate, which didn't rectify the issue, I also attempted the above instructions. I clicked delete cache and reboot but did not have to the same prompts as the fellow above upon reboot.

Please advise. Thanks

Settings->applications->application manager->S Health->disable--> uninstall

Just ENABLE again ONLY.

(If needed-Just reinstalled it again.
Power off and reboot).
