Apps How to handle fragmentation in handset base for Android?

Hi All,

I am a researcher with Wharton Business School and currently studying Smartphone app industry. I am looking to understand how to developers handle multiple handsets that are present in the Android market. What are some of the design choices made to take care of trade-offs presented by different handsets?

Please share your experience as it will really help my research project.
