Help How to handle recurring event ?

I know my problem isn't very understandable from the tutle . Sorry for that .

I'm wondering how can I handle a specific date configured as part of recurring event ? Everytime I want to change a specific date I'm asked to choose if to implement it to future events . I want it to be changed only for a specific date and not to all of them . It's driving me crazy !

I'm using the stock calendar
KitKat 4.4.4
No root or customized ROM

Hi, what exactly are you trying to change? Are you trying to change the date/time of the event? Or other details of the event?

When you touch the specific event on your calendar and then select the "edit" icon, it should ask you if you want to
  • Change only this event
  • Change all events in the series
  • Change this and all future events

Does this option not pop up for you?
 
Oh , ok sorry for that , I meant I was trying to delete a date as part of recurring event , so onlt this date will be canceled and not all the event , but I'm getting an option to delete all the future events ...
Hope it's clearer :)

So you are trying to delete the event for one day (out of a recurring event series)? When you touch the event for that day, and click the 'delete' icon, it should ask:
  • Only this event
  • This and future events
  • All events
Are you not seeing that?

(I just tried it on my google calendar app)
 
Thx for replying . When I 'm choosing a specific event , which is part of recurring events , I'm getting the message appears in the images

What mode is your calendar in? (week/month/agenda/?)

Try this for me. In calendar, go to agenda mode. Then, tap on a specific event (for the specific date) that you want to change. Then, tap the "Edit" icon at the top. Do you now see the option to change that event?

Is this happening for all recurring events? (try creating a new recurring test event, and try the same steps)
Sorry, can't think of any other reason for this to not work right...

Well , it seems to happen every time I create a recurring event , though I remember that today I had the option to delete a specific event that was part of recurring events , but I didn't do anything different + it happened only once . I couldn't repreduce it again :mad:
